Mike laid on his bed, his eyes fixated on the ceiling. He counted the spots of dirt contrasting with the beige paint, one by one, wondering why they looked so much like coffee stains, and then why there wasn't one drop of coffee left in that damn house. He'd would have gotten up and out to buy some, but it was just a useless action. It meant nothing. Everything seemed worthless compared to the destiny he'd have to fullfill. He couldn't waste his time doing things that served no greater purpose. The fun times are over now. He moved his hand under the pillow and closed his fingers around the handle of his gun.
