Fast Food

Wren headed down to the Metro, food still the subject of her one-track mind. Looking somewhat dazed (either drugged up or drunk to the passersby) she grabbed a boy and pulled him into the alleyway.

Wren sunk her fangs into his neck and moaned loudly as she gulped down his blood. She pressed him to her as she rested her back against the wall, gasping for breath.

Dane spun down the road, feeling slightly high on nothing in particular. Suddenly he heard a moan- one he reconised all too well- and spun to look down an alley.

Wren beant over as the boy's knees buckled, so she was supporting him entirely and leaning over him.

Dane changed so he was barely big enough to see and flew into the alley, small pink wings carrying him. When he saw what Wren was doing, he abrubtly changed back into normal, "WREN?!"

Wren looked up sharply and let go of the boy in surprise. Her crumpled to the ground, dead. Wren blinked at Dane as she tried to keep her brain working on so little blood. The blood round her mouth looked very much like smeared red lipstick.

Dane's hands clenched, "What are you doing?" He was desperatly trying to keep his voice calm, but failed miserably.

Wren looked at the boy's body, then back at Dane. She wiped her mouth absently. "Eating."

Dane shook his head, "Didn't look much like eating for me. You don't see me moaning as I tuck into a cookie!"

Wren flushed sheepishly. "It's different!" she protested. "I hadn't eaten in ages!"

Dane frowned, trying desperatly to calm himself. Deep down, he knew she was right. However, his hysterical side had taken over. "You were draped all over him!"

Wren rolled her eyes. "His legs gave out. It was either hold him up or fall down with him."
